Trading in MU: trades and personal shops

In MU, items and jewels change hands two ways: a direct trade between two players, and the personal shop opened on your own character. Every server decides what can be traded and where shops can open. Jewels (Bless, Soul, Chaos) usually serve as currency.

Direct trade

Both players place items and zen in the trade window and confirm. Always check the item before confirming: its level (+), options and whether it is excellent or a set item show on mouse-over.

Personal shop

You list items with prices and leave your character standing with the shop open. On many servers the shop stays open even when you are offline (offstore).

Common scams

  • Swapping the item at the last second before you confirm: always review the final window.
  • A “similar” item with the same name but without the promised options.
  • Requests for your password or an out-of-game “verification”: staff never ask for passwords.
