Reset in MU Online
Reset is the system where your character, on reaching a set level, goes back to level 1 in exchange for extra points or other perks. It does not exist in classic official MU: private servers created it, and each one sets its own rules. Below is how it works and the values found in four emulator packages.
How reset works
You reach the required level, use the command (usually /reset) or a button on the site or in game, and your character goes back to the starting level. Depending on the setup, it keeps its assigned points, gets fixed points per reset or starts over with points based on how many resets it has. Some servers charge zen, require you to unequip items or cap how many resets you can do per day.
Servers are often labelled by reset style: “no reset” (normal leveling only), “cumulative” (points add up each reset) or capped.

What to compare between servers
- Reset level and cost.
- Whether points stack or are fixed.
- Whether there is a daily cap (it changes the pace a lot if you play little).
- Whether there is a master reset (or grand reset) after many resets. See the master reset guide.

It depends on the server. In the emulator packages we analysed, it is set to 400 in Season 3, 4 and 20 and 1000 in Season 6 (LEGADO).
