Where to level in MU Online
Leveling fast in MU comes down to fighting monsters of the right level: too weak gives little experience, too strong kills you. This guide shows how to choose a map by its monsters' levels, using the servers' spawn files, and how experience is configured.
The rule of thumb
- Look for monsters slightly above your level that you can kill without burning potions nonstop.
- Prefer places with many monsters packed together (spots) if your class hits in an area.
- In a party, experience is shared, but many servers give a bonus per player in the group.
Level bands per map
Every map page in the codex groups its monsters into 20-level bands taken from the spawn files. Start with these maps:
Experience rates in the emulators
| Season 3 | Season 4 | Season 6 | Season 20 | |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Experience rate | 1 | 1000 | 70 | 99999 |
| Event experience rate | 1 | 1000 | 100 | 5 |
| Party exp with 2 players (%) | 80 | 100 | 120 | 202 |
| Party exp with 5 players (%) | 45 | 500 | 155 | 505 |
Values found in the GameServerInfo files of each emulator package we analysed. They are not official rules: every server sets its own.
Events that give experience
Blood Castle, Devil Square and Chaos Castle usually give a lot of experience in little time. See the event pages.
